    1. I thoroughly enjoyed the Lord Ambrose Historical Mystery series, of which Fool's Gold was the third and final book. I liked the second and third books quite a bit more than the first one. The Egyption Coffin was my favorite of the trilogy, but I found Fool's Gold to be almost as good. At the beginning of Fool's Gold, Lord Ambrose Malvine proposes marriage to his beloved, Elisabeth Anstruther, who has been living in his household ever since a double murder occurred at the farm where she was a gov [...]
