    1. I’m not usually a fan of vampire books, but there is just something about Ms. Morris’s books that just draw me in. I consider myself very lucky that I have been able to follow this series from book 1 until now! Each book just gets better and better as they are released.I will be honest, I was a bit worried about how much I would enjoy this book because it is shorter than the other books in the series, but I was completely caught off guard with how in depth Ms. Morris went with the story. I d [...]

    2. Ever wonder about how Jackie and William got together? Well now's your chance to learn their story. If you're new to the series I definitely recommend reading from the beginning. This is one of the few series that I could honestly see being made into a movie with each store becoming more and more interesting.William is one of the colony members that we haven't gotten to see a lot of although he's always been there and periphery. This shows his struggles throughout the years as he tries to find lo [...]

    3. 3.5/5The book starts with William and Jackie happily married with children they reminisce about how they met. The met when the president comes to a school to appear with kids to improve his image. William is a vampire who works in a secret group called the Colony. They protect the president from supernatural threats. Jackie though is very upset that all this is a ploy to make him seem better with the minorities. She thinks that William is a political puppet who just does what he is told.I though [...]

    4. This books starts off by William and Jackie telling the story of how they met.William meets his perfect match in Jackie the substitute teacher while working for the president. He find himself wondering if she would truly be his or would she run when she finds that he is a vampire. He vows that he will make her his, which of course he does. This book was a fun read because you got revisit some of the characters in the past. I am happy that I got to read it.

    5. What a great addition to the COLONY vampire series. I loved reading how William and his wife Jackie met. This was truly a sweet love story!! Can't wait for the next book in this exciting series!!! I recommend this series to all those who love hot sexy hunks and strong females leads.e love of vampires is just an extra special plus to reading this amazing new series!!

    6. I loved this book. It's a bit shorter than a regular novel as it is a novella, but it still delivers an amazing story. I read it in a few hours and couldn't put it down. Another great read from author Regina Morris.

    7. Wow, now this is a love story!! William meets Jackie, a schoolteacher during a presidential visit and is very taken with her. The problem is, can she handle him being a vampire? This is a must read. Suspense, with some action, but mostly two people who are looking for that special kind of love. And of coarse there's the happily ever after. Loved it from beginning to end!!!

    8. I was so glad to read this story. I’ve read every book by Regina thus far and jumped at the chance to review this story as well. It’s shorter than her other pieces and read swiftly, but I wished it had been a full story! I fell in love with William and Jackie from the start. A few things to note, are that this takes place in the PAST, unlike the other stories unfolding in present timeline. It’s more than fifteen years in the past and is a retelling of events already taken place. It’s the [...]

    9. Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle:*Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review--Actual rating 4.5 SkullsThis was a great read! It had the unique paranormal that I've come to know and love in Regina Morris's books, along with some underlying things plaguing the nation (without being too heavy), so it was not only entertaining, but made you think a little bit, as well. :)Jackie is a substitue teacher dealing with the overwhelming issues of budget cutbacks. She's passionate ab [...]

    11. This book is a little flashback into the lives of William and Jackie. It is their story of how they met. Jackie is a substitute teacher and so many things swirling in her head with budget cutbacks and school teacher dilemmas. But she wants nothing more than to teach. She wants to reach the lives of children that may not be able to afford the best of everything. But while substituting one day, she sees him for the first time. But there is so much going on and she is pretty politically charged rig [...]

    12. Let freedom ringSweet little tale involving a fundraising event, a sniper, a retirement home, some flowers and a costume. It's a good background regarding the way the resident parents at Fang Manor met.
