    1. ☆☆☆☆3.5 stars☆☆☆☆First and foremost, I want to mention the fantastic cover. It's what initially got my attention drawn to this book. There is clearly power in a good cover picture. I initially started by reading the sample of this book and almost didn't buy it. I was afraid that he was going to pine for his ex wife, even though she was a cheating skank. He wasn't surprised when she told him to leave because deep down, he knew their relationship was at a dead end. He decided to re [...]

    2. Holy hot tamales! What a trip!I love how this novel is written in the male POV. It adds a definite twist to the story. At the same time, there is such a brilliant flow, and the story is so well put together that you can’t help but relate to the characters. Decevito is a very visually descriptive writer who draws you in to each and every aspect of the story with minimal effort on the reader’s part. Her story is explicit and vividly visual without ever becoming crass. She walks a fine line wit [...]

    3. I was kinda amped for this book when I saw it in my RSS feed. Life after divorce, a single father POV, and possible baby mama/ ex wife drama? Oh Hellz yeah this is my kinda book! Since I'm the impatient and impulsive type I went ahead and bought it without reading any reviews. Paxton is a great father, also honorable. I really liked him. Alissa is sweet. You know that one person you meet that you can't help but become instant BFF's. The drama yep, loved it! Now here is where the 3 stars come in. [...]

    4. 5 #thatblushofyours starsMore and more lately, I’m enjoying the voice of a male protagonist. Its not entirely unique for stories in the romance/chick lit genre, but the voices are fresh and really paint entirely new picture of love from the male POV. In Once Written, Twice Shy, Carey Decevito has brilliantly pulled off the male POV and part of this can be attributed to clever and witty dialogue that is Paxton's voice. Carey gives us the story of a young, almost divorced Paxton Lowell. The stor [...]

    5. Sizzling Pages Romance Reviews Sizzling Pages @ Facebook Twitter:@Sizzlingpages4.5 Sweet Sizzling Stars5/5 Sizzling Hearts for Heat!! I was totally blown away by this book from the start. First of all male POV which isn't all that common. I loved being inside Pax's head. He was the most sincere and genuine character. I loved how he just pulled himself up and didn't let his ex's betrayal turn him off from finding love again. Alyssa seemed like someone who just really wanted a family and to belong [...]

    6. Like a chocolate mud cake with whipped cream. A light, sweet romance…heavy on sex and story.I rarely read erotic romance, but this one came so highly recommended by so many people I felt I had to read it. The romantic element to the story was light and sweet – like whipped cream on a chocolate mud cake. Both Paxton and Alissa are easy to relate to and very much like real people – Decevito has presented them well. The erotic element was like that thick, soapy-tasting frosting you get on wed [...]

    7. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book was probably the hardest book I’ve ever reviewed because I have so many mixed feelings about it. Unlike other who rate a book based on grammatical errors I base mine on content. To warrant a five or four star the writer must capture me from the start and hold my interest throughout the book. The characters must be well developed and the storyline believable. While I did enjoy the book I found it was not only easy to put down but I [...]

    8. Enjoyed it 4****Paxton is alone after a failed marriage. Even though he knows his marriage has been over for a while, he did try mostly for his son. On his own, he turns to his one passion, writing. After he submits one of his stories on an Internet writing site, he receives a response from another writer named Alissa. For over ten months they have communicated via Internet. Alissa comes to visit Paxton, and they both find over the months of constant communication they have developed feelings for [...]

    9. Julie, & Paxton Lowell (writer, Pax), had a son Jasper (4), they were getting a divorce. Julie was moving in with Todd whom she had been having an affair with for quite some time. Paxton found a writer/editor job in Jacksonville, NC, & he was going to show Alissa Hidgins (Allie) his manuscript. They had been conversing back/forth; email, cell, Skype, etc. for quite some time. Alissa came to his place. Things got real hot & he had to tell her he was still married & Julie had not s [...]

    10. Book: Once Written, Twice Shy (The Broken Men Chronicles #1)Author: Carey DecevitoPublication Date: 11/10/2015Reviewed by: Tammy Payne- Book Nook Nuts My Rating: 4 Stars REVIEW *May contain spoilers *New to me author In this story we have a family who is now broken. Mommy Dearest (Julie)as I will call her decides to sit daddy Pax' things at the front door as a not so subtle hint to get out. Pax has gotten to know a woman on an internet-writing site and they have talked for almost a year now. The [...]

    11. Paxton comes home to see his wife's bags are packed. She is leaving him to move in with her boyfriend. He tried to make his marriage work but she couldn't be bothered. They also have a young son named Jasper who will be involved in this. He starts writing again and meets a woman on a site where he published his work. They corresponded with each other and struck up a friendship for a year before they met face to face. Alissa comes to visit and they have explosive chemistry. However, Paxton's ex J [...]

    12. I enjoyed this book. The story was emotional rollercoaster of sadness, hate, and love. I liked the main characters and could tell how much they cared for one another, I was cheering for their happiness through the book. I thought this book was a bit different in that it wasn't a misunderstanding or perceived wrong keeping the characters apart, they just lived too far apart. I laughed and cried while reading this, I'd suggest having tissue handy. I received a copy of this book from the author, my [...]

    13. this book could have had a little less sex and more about there relationship and his son. it was a great book. its about a man who was cheated on by his wife. he starts writing . he finds a woman who might just help mend his heart. there is also problems that come up in this book! thanks for giving me a chance to read this book!

    14. Devastated by a failed marriage, Paxton takes refuge in his writing and his son Jasper. He meets Alissa in one of his online writing groups and their relationship blossoms into a great friendship. After months of chatting online and on the telephone, they decide to meet. Sparks fly and before they know it, Alissa and Paxton are much more than just friends. But there are old and new obstacles to overcome before they can truly take the next step. Let me first say this: contemporary erotic romance [...]

    15. Once Written, Twice Shy is about Paxton and Alissa's relationship. They fall in love when they finally meet in person after communicating over the internet for 10 months. Paxton has a heartless ex-wife, Julie, who won't sign the divorce papers and just didn't want to let go, which is making his life miserable. Alissa is a very kind and giving woman who makes both Paxton and his son, Jasper, very happy. This is so well written that you can easily picture the people and places described. The charac [...]

    16. I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book is written solely from the male's perspective and I love it!! I love when I get to see everything form the male POV- it's refreshing to see how a guy reacts to the same stressors that a woman may or may not have been going through. I also love that when it comes to the male POV you don't get all the little hang ups that women have and I love their take charge thinking. With that being said I didn't care for the way the bo [...]

    17. I loved this book. In all honesty it did start out a little slow for me but once I was hooked there was no letting go.I loved the characters and how they interacted with each other. Their relationships were believable. This book gave me a few heart stopping moments and I didn't want to put it down because I needed to know the ending and what happened next. For me this book got a little ugly cry in places but it just shows how invested I got in their lives.I love this cover!!!!!!

    18. I was offered a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.“Once Written, Twice Shy” is the first in Carey Decevito's Broken Men Chronicles series. Paxton Lowell just seems like the typical all-around nice guy. He’s been wounded and left just a little bitter by his soon-to-be ex-wife’s infidelities, but the one constant and unshakable thing in his life is his love for his three-year-old son, Jasper, and who doesn’t just love that about a man. Trying to return his life to some a [...]

    19. Can I just say I have found my new favorite series! Paxton and Alissa are So hot together! You have Paxton who has a wife who won't grant him a divorce, even though she CHEATED and is leaving him for her boyfriend!! Omg I wanted to hurt her! I was yelling at my kindle through these parts. I mean you don't want him then let him go bitch! Paxton meets Alissa on a writers website, they decide to meet after almost ten months of chatting it up online. Paxton tries to be a gentleman but its hard when [...]

    20. I was given this book in exchange for my reviewLet me start by saying my favorite scene in the notebook was when Ryan Gosling grabs me and says it wasn't over and it still ain't over ( o wait that didn't happen to me but I dreamed it did LOL) If you remember how sweet that movie/book was then you will totally understand how sweet and romantic this book was. Only for this story we have to add a lot of really hot intimate times :) Also this story is told from the male POV Ok so here we have Alissa [...]

    21. Have you ever gotten so wrapped into a story that you have no desire to take a break to review it before moving onto the next installment? That’s exactly what happened to me when I read this debut by Carey Decevito, the first book in her The Broken Men Chronicles.Oh Paxton! I loved the fact that this book was from your point of view. You were a sensitive, gentle giant. Unafraid of your emotions. That being said, you still displayed strength, courage and quite the dominant characteristics when [...]

    22. I received this book for an honest review. Oh my god what a book. This book is excellent, it takes you on an emotional roller coaster that makes you laugh and cry at times. It was good to read a book that was also written from the male POV. Paxton's marriage has failed, so fresh from separation he throws himself into writing. On a site he makes a friend and after a year of contacting each other they decide to meet up. Instantly there is a physical connection and attraction between Paxton and Ali [...]

    23. The Broken Men Chronicles Series #1This book has some hot sex but it is not an erotic novel. Paxton is getting a divorce. He has a 4 year old son Jasper. His wife, Julia, cheated on him - a lot. He has filed the papers but she refuses to sign even though she is living and pregnant from another man. He changed himself a lot during the marriage but now he can resume being who he was. He started writing again and met a woman online in a writing group that he belongs to. They have been communicating [...]

    24. Reviewed by Kota for Kota's Book Kollection"I felt the plot was quite nice. Aside from the predictability of some of the elements, it was a slightly different take on the obstacles facing these two. Unfortunately though, I found the storylines, the ones that has all the depth potential in the world were a basically filler for the sex scenes Which on their own didn’t really do it for me.There were too many gaps in the characters stories, growth and development and too many scenes that if they h [...]

    25. This is a sweet story with very little angst. Pax Lowell comes home to find his wife's bags packed sitting my the door. As much as he knew he wasn't in love with her anymore it will still a shock that she was leaving, then he finds out she is moving in with Todd, the man she has been seeing for quite some time unbeknown to him. Life is about to start over for him and he decides he needs to make some changes, he brings out his old writings and decides to find a site online where he can put them. [...]

    26. The book started off a little slow for me then it jumped right in the middle of a relationship I felt cheated that I didn't get to see grow. With that said this was a really sweet love story that will pull at your heart string's. Paxton the father of a four year old Jasper and recently single found a love interest "Alissa" over their mutual love of writing. When Alissa and Jasper meet for the first time the two form a tight bond that furthers Pax's reasoning that she is the right woman for him.Th [...]

    27. I Received this book for an honest review so, I have to say. YOU MUST READ IT!!!!!!these characters have taken me for such a roller coaster of emotions!! For example, Julie At times Hated her, she confused me, felt sorry for her, wanted to shake her, liked her Ect.Alissa: thought she was hiding something, then I just begN to love her all the way thru But I keep on thinking, is there going to have a bomb drop! Paxton (pax) : what a great Dad, felt sorry for him, cheered him on, when he connected [...]

    28. It was nice to see a hero who's a good man all the way through. Paxton is sweet, easy going, generous and kind. At the start of the story his wife Julie is walking out on him - and taking their kid, Jason. Paxton hooks up with an internet friend, Alissa, who's also a sweetie. The tension in the book comes in the form of a crisis - which I won't spoil for you.I liked this a lot, but it's odd how Paxton is the sort of man I'd date but in book form he was a bit too nice for me. So was Alissa. She w [...]

    29. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.Book one of this series is my second favorite. I was drawn in from the very beginning and I could picture the scenes playing out in my head. The emotion of each character seems very real compared to a lot of the books I have read and it makes them seem all the more believable. The author is an amazing writer. The main character, Paxton, is facing some relationship problems and befriends a woman he has a lot in common with. of course there ar [...]

    30. I received an ARC for an honest review.Such a fun, enjoyable read! My only complaints are that foreshadowing was a little too heavy for events that were supposed to be a surprise to the reader as well as the characters, and not knowing much about Paxton and Alissa's pasts aside from their romantic pasts. We still don't know much about Alissa's romantic history. I feel like we didn't even know what either of them did for a living until at least halfway through the book. And the brother, that's ju [...]
