    1. This was a really great little read. I really liked the writing style, pace and tone. I wanted some more and just an eensy bit more background into just what this kid had gone through to drive him to this point because I wanted to either feel sympathetic for him or hate him and I just couldn't get a grip on my opinion of this kid. The best part about this short story was the tension that was built. Unbelievable tension and a great ending. If this is the kind of thing we can expect from Jayme K. [...]

    2. A slight (too slight) short piece that still manages to leave a sizable impression on the reader. I've been unfamiliar with Jayme K's work up until now but I hope to change that soon as he has a definite voice that, with some polish and more substance, will yield some true literary merit. The story here shines in the details, the anger and frustration of a kid shunted aside in high school where apathy and resignation reign and the most primitive and authoritarian of hierarchies take hold where, [...]

    3. I had been interested in Jayme's writing abilities for awhile now and wasn't disappointed. Youth tells the story of Daniel Walker, a bullied high school freshman with a plan to teach his classmates a lesson but there's a twist that I never saw coming. I was filled with anxiety and my heart pounded throughout most of my time reading this short story and those feelings got stronger when there was a crazy turn of events, making this story more interesting and creatively written than others on simil [...]

    4. What an interestingly heart-pounding turn of events. Unlike other reviews, I didn't find the beginning to drag, instead I found it fitting for the story, the descriptions of his town, his preparations for what he was going to do. And when his plan came into fruition in quite a way he (nor I) was expecting, it made everything come full circle. My heart is still quite literally pounding and I can't wait to read Disorderly by this brilliant author.

    5. This was a gripping, compelling short story that is gritty yet meaningful. It centers around a very delicate issue that is sure to shock and offend some at its core; the short story is written from the perspective of a student who seeks revenge from his school.I think this is a must read for all young people whose lives were affected by school tragedies. It would also give great insight to teachers as an example of what can happen when you turn a blind eye to bullying.A chilling tale, one likely [...]

    6. I read this on a bus ride home, and it brought me back to my Senior year of high school when there was a threat of a school shooting. That being said, I found this story wonderfully written and very chilling.
