    1. The Voyage of Lucy P. Simmons: Lucy at Sea is the sequel to The Voyage of Lucy P. Simmons. I hadn't read the first book, and I was a little worried about reading the sequel first. I decided though, that since it's a middle grade read I could probably follow along fairly well. While I did have some trouble with the many characters at times, I found it easy to follow for the most part -- especially because this book had many new characters. The book picks up right away in the midst of an adventure [...]

    2. This is the sequel to Barbara Mariconda's The Voyage of Lucy P. Simmons. In this thrilling installment of the series, Lucy is protected by special magic. When her evil uncle tries to steal her house this magic comes in very handy, transforming the house into an actual houseboat. Now Lucy and her family sail the seas together is this most magical of homes. Their destination is Australia to find a relative of Lucy's and learn about the curse that plagues her family. 3. This, the second book in the series, was not as good as the first. I think the author should have left out the flirtation between Lucy and Walter, it's not necessary. I did like the magic elements in this book. I thought it the cards were the best way of showing us the characters that are behind the story.

    4. Book 2 of a trilogy. (Did not read book 1) A magical and mysterious story of a girl, Lucy, going to sea in a ship on shore that transforms into a real ship. With a crew and the ocean as her new home, she heads out to Australia. To find her last living relative and answers about the curse that haunt her family. A great read. Looking forward to book 3 and continuation of Lucy's story.

    5. I really liked this book, there was a good plot, and the storyline moved along nicely. Lucy is a very likeable character, and I thought that the slight romance between Lucy and Walter was very well played out. Can't wait to read more adventures of Lucy P. Simmons.

    6. MG Adventure/Fantasy (#2 in series)I thoroughly enjoyed "Lucy at Sea." Lots of tension and mystery and magic. Can't wait for #3!
