    1. Brothers in Arms his the story of the Milperra shootout on fathers day 1984. Two bikies gangs got stuck into each other at a swap meet resulting in the deaths of 6 dead Bikies and a 15 year old girl.It actually plays out like a house divided shakespearean tragedy. One gang splintering from the other, a slow march to conflict through misplaced loyalties.

    2. This isn't something I'd usually pick up, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was moving and honest and a great way to learn about a part of Australias history. The writing in this book is incredible, it reads as a novel but the facts and honesty you are getting as well is moving.A great read.

    3. I wanted to read this book after seeing Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms mini series (which is based on this book) screening on channel 10.The images in the beginning and middle of the book make the book more personal in that you can see the people involved, even though this is based on a true story, the pictures make it even more real. It's hard to believe that this actually happened in Australia, heartbreaking and devastating. Why grown men would resort to a shoot out rather than letting each club [...]

    4. Liked it especially since I was at the Massacre in 1984. The Comancheros were held at Long Bay Gaol which I am writing about now in a book. I also knew the author of Brothers in Arms -Sandra Harvey - when she was a SMH journalist. A lovely woman before she passed away a young woman.

    5. Like a lot of other people I was inspired to read this after viewing the mini series based on it. It was certainly interesting and did build on what the tv show was about, just adding that more intimate layer that comes from a book. Really gave me some food for nought.

    6. The first half of this book was hard to get into but the second half I wanted it to keep going. There were many emotions throughout the book. The photos in the middle made the book more real.

    7. fantastic! kept me interested the entire time. i felt connected to the events and the bikies due to how well written it is.
