    About "David Frome"

      • David Frome

David Frome is the nom de plume of Zenith Jones Brown, who also wrote as Leslie Ford She wrote several books under the pen name David Frome while living in England, the most endearing of these featuring timid and elderly widower Evan Pinkerton Her other series also based in England is the Major Gregory Lewis Mysteries.

    2. This time Mr. Pinkerton heads to Bath (England) for a vacation and ends up at Hotel Murder. Normally a timid mousy man, except when Murder happens, Pinkerton helps the police discover the murderer.By the time you get to the end of the book, you're surprised that the first victim wasn't killed off sooner. Well written characters and great humor in this story. The mystery is a tough one to crack as well.

    3. Mr. Pinkerton finds himself staying in a Bath hotel which is also the residence of famed actress Dame Ellen Crosby and her dependents. When there's a death, Mr. Pinkerton willingly gets involved, in the interests of helping Dame Ellen's lovely young niece. Also on the premises is the mysterious and possibly sinister Miss Margolius, who seems to be on hand all the time.
