    1. I wish I had read the earlier books about the different swat team members. Don't need to its stands on its own. Its a nice romance story. I would read more books from Julie Miller.Rafe was a rookie cop when his partner was killed trying to stop bank robbers. He promised he would help look out for his two kids. Josie 15 had a crush on Rafe and younger brother.ten years later Rafe was on a swat team and a young boy died in his arms. He could not save him though he tried. Josie was comforting him a [...]

    2. Wonderful Suspense Romance, loved Rafe-Josie,Rafe he has suffered emotionally so much that now he does'nt wants to take yet another chance and take the risk of pain and hurt,he keeps pushing Josie away,Josie she is determined to make Rafe see she is not a child anymore and she wants to heal him, both were always there for each other, their friendship slowly blossomed into love, inspite of Rafe not letting himself close to Josie and their child but he falls deeply in love with them but fears to lose [...]

    3. My first real Harlequin Romance everter I swore I would never read "One of those"! Well, this is from the intrigue series and caught my attention. I'm a sucker for men in uniform (cops, firemen, military) and came across this when I was looking through the Borders store that's closing near me. I enjoyed this book. Rafe had that tough guy, untouchable on the outside yet sooo vulnerable on the inside and Josie was independent enough to not to that pining away annoying heroine. I also liked the oth [...]

    4. I think this book has to be my favorite of the series, mostly because I adore Josie's work ethic, independence, and strong mind. Also because this was the book where everything in the previous two came together.Anyone who was around me while I read this knew that there were times when I'd gently lay down my Kindle, take a calming breath, and then scream my lungs out.***SPOILER PARAGRAPH. DON'T READ UNLESS YOU'VE READ THIS BOOK. IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS BOOK: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? READ IT!***Li [...]

    5. PROTECTING THE PREGNANT WITNESS was a quick read for me. The story was pretty good, with not many complaints. 10 years ago, the young rookie cop, Rafe Delgado watched his father figure mentor, Aaron Nichols, get killed in the line of duty. Right before his death, Rafe promised to watch out for his daughter, Josie. For 10 years he’s been doing just that. Despite her crush on him, Josie hasn’t been able to get him to look at her other than as the daughter of the man he looked up to. He’s ther [...]

    6. The loneliness of Josie’s solitary life—no mother, no father, a poor excuse for a brother, too much work and too much stress—evaporated beneath the greedy assault of Rafe’s hands and mouth on her skin. He needed her. He needed her. The connection between them was irrefutable and intense.Of all the men in the world to see as her soul mate, she had to fall for one who was hard to love—a man whose wounds ran so deep that there might never be enough patience and time to heal them.“My emo [...]

    7. This is the second time I've read this book, and enjoyed it just as much as the first time I read it.Rafe is not good with words. He is part of a swat team, his actions speaks for him. Years ago his partner asked him to keep his daughter Jose safe, and watch over her, right before he died. He vowed he would. Jose has always had a crush on Rafe, and wants him to see her as a women, and not the little girl she once was. One night after seeing a boy die, Rafe needed more than friendship from Jose. [...]

    8. SWAT member, Rafe Delgado had been there for Josie Nichols her entire life. So it was only natural he would turn to her one night, emotionally drained thanks to a devastating case, her longtime crush on the brooding cop reached a whole new level. But afterward, Rafe went back to being distant and Josie didn't know how to break through the wall he had built around him--not even to tell him she was pregnant.Everything Rafe did was by the book and so his moment of weakness could never be repeated-- [...]

    9. It was both sweet and enthralling. tou get sucked into this story where you can't help but be both caught in their relationship and the mystery of The Rich Girl Killer I loved Josie, she had substance and was far from push-over I think she was one of my favorite things about the book Rafe I did not much relate to I think I just was not as caught into his past and the reasons he thinks he's unworthy of love but over-all I think the couple were amazing, their sweet moments were the best I loved t [...]

    10. I first have to say that I really have enjoyed the Precinct Swat series of stories. My main problem with this story is the title of the book. It just sounds so bland if it had not been another book in this series I probably would have skipped it.This book had a really great romance with characters with believable hangups. The villain was stereotypical and the police work at times not really convincing. Over all the romance more than made up for its problems.

    11. While i find myself tired of male characters who find themselves unworthy of the heroine's affections and goodness and spend the whole book fighting their feelings back and forth giving me a headache. This book was enjoyable, i sensed the danger and the suspense, the RGK was well portrayed and even though the ending was predictable it didn't lessen from the story because I honestly wasn't expecting that much.

    12. 3.5 stars. This was a well written enjoyable book. It had some fairly complex characters. The plot was hea summarized neatly at the end as most HQ books are. But Julie Miller does a fine job of telling the story of Josie and Rafe's relationship. It was a pretty good read.

    13. Looks like Ms Miller is back. A few books ago, I was beginning to think she was running out of inspiration for this long running series. Rafe could have come to his senses a bit sooner though - most of the heroes in the series have accepted their "doom" before the last chapter.

    14. The villain was quite evil, but for all of Rafe's protectiveness, the police staked Josie out at a picnic and then abandoned her as soon as the (planted by the villain) distraction unfolded. Le sigh.

    15. read this one first so out of sequence was still enjoyable very good read but read in order to get the story straight

    16. Book has a little bit of everything: serial killer, emotionally stunted cop, tragic past and a pregnant strong young women.

    17. Loved itI loved this story, I really enjoy this series. This is a must read it has it all, action, romance and it hooks you from the beginning. This is a must read. Get it today!

    18. Good old school alpha story to pass time with. Not too hot and steamy, just okay in that department, but put together with the story is interesting and entertaining.

    19. The plot was exactly what I was searching for but the characters, their emotions, the atmosphere, were too squeaky clean for my taste.

    20. This was my first Juile Miller book I read. Its a very nice romance book but it needed more action. It's a good book to read in your free time.
